Nobel peace prize 2018 won by Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad for Fighting sexual violence


The Congolese gynecologist, Denis Mukwege, who has treated thousands of rape victims in a country once called the rape capital of the world, and to Nadia Murad, who became a bold, dignified voice for women who who was sold into sex slavery by Isis, have been jointly awarded the 2018 Nobel peace prize. The committee said: “They have both put their own personal security at risk by courageously combating war crimes and securing justice for victims.”
