Noida (India) : Two minor girls, one is 9 and the other is 13, were allegedly raped in two separate incidents in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Noida . Poltce said, yesterday a man abducted a nine-year-old girl from her village in Jewar area and took her on a motorcycle ride. The accused then took her to an isolated place in Tappal area here and raped her. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s parents, the accused was identified as Lokesh Sharma (25), a resident of Khoda colony in Ghaziabad. He was arrested on Friday morning.
A few days ago a 16-year-old Dalit girl from Jewar area in Greater Noida has alleged that she was gang-raped by two men on the evening of August 24 in a jungle area of Khurja after being abducted by them on a motorcycle. According to the police, around 5pm on August 24, the girl was returning home on foot from Bankapur village after attending a training class. “The victim has claimed that on her way home from her tailoring classes, when two men stopped her on the main road and forcibly made her sit on their motorcycle. The duo then took her to Khurja and stopped near a jungle area. The victim claims that she was forced to consume alcohol after which the two allegedly raped her,” SS Bhati, station house officer, Jewar police station, said.
In another incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenager, the police said.
The incident occurred when the girl was returning from her school in Jarcha area. “A teenager offered her a lift on his motorcycle to her village but instead took her to an isolated spot and raped her,” the police said. A case was registered and a probe was underway, he added.
